The Passing Through Lesson

paint_cloth

The mural team is under the apprenticeship of Meg Saligman, designer of Passing Through. Each member of the team learns to see and to paint in Meg’s style. At first the image becomes pure line, then we see light and shadow, and finally we learn to paint by numbers that correspond to color. This instruction carries over into our own work. We see the world newly organized. The mural team extends this lesson to the public via the Passing Through project.
